Southern Water
Southern Water is a regulated water and sewerage company serving southeast England. The company holds an exclusive license to supply water to 2.5 million customers and sewerage services to 4.6 million wastewater customers. Each day it supplies 524 million litres of drinking water from 89 water treatment works along 13,793 kilometres of water mains to customers’ taps. Each day Southern also treats and recycles 718 million litres of wastewater at 365 treatment works after it is pumped through a network of 2,375 pumping stations and 39,600 kilometres of sewers. We have invested in the company since March 2008 and purchased an additional stake in May 2016.
